ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Clinic Manager duties for assigned county(ies) Administer personnel policies and procedures; assist with clinic hiring process; train new employees; resolve conflicts; conduct performance appraisals; oversee scheduler and adjust as necessary; arrange for subs as needed Ensure staff deliver excellent customer service Quality Assurance monitoring Direct clinic staff observation quarterly Random INWIC note review quarterly Clinic inventory Ensure office supply order submitted on a monthly basis Maintain clinic equipment/computer inventory Communicate necessary updates with clinic staff and monitor implementation of policy/procedural changes Maintenance of Daily Log, Ineligible File, and Unusable WIC EBT File Monitor and enforce agency Universal Precautions policy Outreach Ensure agency representation at pertinent community meetings Ongoing communication with local health care providers Periodic vendor visits as needed Maintain daily cleaning logs and temperature logs Update Community Resource and Referral contact information Ensure voter registration forms are mailed weekly, voice mail messages are current Breastfeeding Promotion Duties Ensure pumps are cleaned, stored, and updated on inventory Maintain orderly breastfeeding room Conduct breastfeeding supply inventory and submit needs on a monthly basis Breast Pump log maintenance/tracking Client Certification Duties Present a friendly and warm welcome to all families upon clinic visits and telephone contacts; display of excellent eye contact with families; offer a minimum of one compliment to families at each clinic visit or telephone contact Complete certification testing, nutrition assessment, nutrition education, referrals, care plan, and food package issuance in an efficient manner Cross-train to assist in clerical duties when necessary Calibration, maintenance, cleaning, arranging annual state inspection for medical equipment Promotes breastfeeding as preferred method of infant feeding Adhere to Universal Precaution policy Meet or exceed caseload goals.
Assist in contacting clients to pick up checks routinely, appointment reminders, etc.
Ensure a monthly participation rate for WIC at or above the state averageMaintain an average show rate of 80% or higher and appointment slots are 100% filled on a daily basisParticipate in developing Outreach Plan and representing WIC in outreach activitiesAccept clinic assignments as scheduled.
Travel reimbursement provided for subsequent clinic travel beyond clinic site where workday beginsGENERAL DUTIES:
Help in other areas of the facility as requested by any building supervisor or program director Attends monthly staff meetings Be thoroughly familiar with, and review at least annually, Personnel Policies and Procedures of New Hope Services, Inc.
Maintain confidentiality regarding all personnel and financial matters of the Corporation Contribute to the team effort to accomplish the Mission of NHS
Qualifications:
Basic computer knowledge Experience working in public health, pediatrics, and or obstetrics EDUCATION/YEARS OF
Experience:
Registered Dietician or Registered Nurse with a valid licensure required or minimum of Bachelor Degree, approved by Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), in Nutrition or related field with a minimum of 15 hours in nutrition coursesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
