The editor will oversee, coach and mentor the newsroom staff, work to meet standards for accuracy and fairness and produce compelling stories through words and photos.
We are looking for someone who can both coordinate and report fast-breaking news and in-depth projects.
Candidates must have:
excellent writing and copy editing skills; superior news judgment and leadership skills; a commitment to journalism excellence; a vision for covering stories in non-traditional and new ways; and be passionate about storytelling, detailed reporting and good writing.
Candidates should be creative thinkers, have outstanding management and supervisory skills and have a record of journalistic achievement.
Flexibility, strong organizational and collaborative skills and the ability to work with a team and the community are critical.
